The long taper helps create a sense of incredible balance and responsiveness while the acorn / teardrop tip helps to produce focused and clear, yet open, and warm tones that project from your drums and cymbals under your complete control. Think of a 5A and 7A that have been happily married.

Hickory is the most commonly used wood for drumsticks. It's very robust and absorbs vibrations well. Due to its long-grained structure the danger of breakage is very low.

Natural finishes do not use any surface coating - no wax, no oil or lacquer between you and your stick.
